Aurora is pleased to announce that they have been appointed by Prescient Power to investigate a series of protection mal-operation trips on a new 500kW Solar Farm that has recently been installed.

Prescient advised that their main 11kV RMU feeder to the site had been randomly tripping leading to loss of operation of the site and potential lost revenue for the end client.

Aurora recognised the urgent priority of this job and delivered a wide range investigation into all the potential sources that could be leading to the protection mal-operation, including evaluation of the system voltage profile, RMU protection relay and G59 protection relay.
