Part ofmorsonPRAXISSafe earthing protects people from step and touch voltages and keeps equipment within limits. We design and verify earthing systems using CDEGS and XGSLab, backed by site testing.
A safe earthing system limits step and touch voltages during a fault and keeps earth potential rise within tolerable limits, protecting both people and equipment. We start with soil resistivity measurements and fall-of-potential testing, then model the earth grid in CDEGS or XGSLab to calculate EPR and the resulting touch and step voltages.
From there we design a new grid or remediate an existing one to ENA TS 41-24 and BS EN 50522, including the transfer-voltage and fault-return-path effects that simpler methods miss. We produce the construction earthing drawings and, where needed, verify the installed system by test — on anything from a single substation to wind and solar sites and large multi-substation estates.
