Power Generation

Generation is shifting from large CCGT/OCGT plant toward distributed EfW, biomass and CHP, while existing units are adapted for black start or synchronous-condenser duty. We deliver the connection, stability and compliance studies behind these changes.

Overview

Generation is shifting from large CCGT and OCGT plant toward distributed energy-from-waste, biomass and CHP, while existing units are being adapted for black start or synchronous-condenser duty. We deliver the connection, stability and compliance studies behind these changes.

For synchronous plant that means detailed governor, AVR and limiter (OEL/UEL/SCL) modelling for Grid Code and stability-service submissions such as LT2029 and ERS; for smaller embedded generation it means connection design and protection. We’ve supported major 400 kV power stations and small private schemes alike.
