Data Centres

Data centres demand exceptional reliability, and their scale makes DNO approval for harmonics and voltage disturbance harder than developers expect. We design resilient HV/LV systems and run the protection, power-quality and compliance studies that get them connected and keep them running.

Overview

Data centres demand exceptional reliability, and their scale makes DNO approval for harmonics and voltage disturbance harder than developers often expect. We design resilient HV/LV distribution and run the studies that get a site connected and keep it running through faults, maintenance and loss of supply.

That usually means load flow and fault studies across main, failover and generator-backed configurations, full protection and arc-flash coordination including the UPS systems, and the power-quality assessment the network operator needs. We’ve done this for critical financial and classified sites where downtime simply isn’t an option.

How we help
  • Protection coordination studies
  • Arc Flash studies
  • Fault Level studies
  • Concept development
  • Validation and review of Client designs
  • Reliability & Availability studies
  • ENA P28/2 Voltage Disturbance Studies
  • ENA G5.5 Harmonic Studies
  • ENA G99 compliance Studies
  • Protection scheme design & CT sizing
  • HV cable sizing calculations
  • HV network design and reinforcement planning
  • Earthing Design and Analysis using either CDEGS or XGSLab
