Aurora was contracted by SSE Contracting  to undertake a detailed site survey, fault level analysis and protection coordination study, for a major aerospace manufacturing works in Exeter, UK.

Aurora began by undertaking a visual survey of the main HV and LV electrical system switchgear, transformers and associated protection relays and settings, in order to confirm the system configuration and operating configuration. Once this was completed, a detailed model of the electrical system was created in ETAP before individual coordination studies were carried out for each of the main substations.
