Aurora was contracted by Fabri Consulting engineers, to undertake a series of HV design activities to support a major HV substation upgrade project at the Shell Haven Oil terminal in the UK.

Auroras scope was to develop the HV electrical design of the entire electrical network to be replaced and to define all the interfaces between the existing and new equipment to ensure a smooth changeover with minimal outages. This included carrying out a site survey, development, of a detailed protection and metering diagram, HV cable sizing activities, preparation of the HV switchgear specification and datasheet, and then input to development of the electrical section of the Define stage ITT documentation.
