Aurora Power Consulting – New Blog

We have decided to start writing a new Aurora Power Consulting blog, which we hope may be of interest to our customers (new and existing). The aim of the blog will be to discuss at a high level, some of the technical issues surrounding power system studies and HV/LV design that may not be immediately obvious to those that don’t actually undertake the studies.  As well as general technical discussions, we will also add and link to technical stories and developments that may be of interest.

Forthcoming blog posts will include:

  • P28 volt dip and flicker studies – what are they and why do we need to do them
  • P29 voltage unbalance – when these are needed and when they are not needed
  • G5/4 harmonic studies – what they are for and the difference between Stage 2 and Stage 3
  • Arc Flash studies – why these are becoming increasingly important
