We have recently started working with an expert in this field who has a detailed understanding of power system transient events and behaviour. As Aurora already posses the EMTP, EMTP-ATP and PSCAD/EMTDC software packages, we can now offer detailed insulation coordination to the IEC 60071 or IEEE C62.82 standard.

insulation coordination studies are essential for larger more complex systems to ensure that they are adequately protected from flashover and equipment failure. The scope of these studies include analysis of lightning strikes, as well as switching transients associated with GIS isolators, capacitor banks etc.
