Earthing Study

CDEGS Analysis

Aurora was commissioned by Barbados Power and Light Company (BPLC) and WSP to carry out an earthing study for a new 24.9kV substation connected to the BLPC main transmission network. The study consisted of coordinating the soil resistivity survey with the BLPC site survey team and interpreting the initial results, before creating a model in the CDEGS MALZ module and then carrying out an detailed fault current distribution analysis using the CDEGS TRALIN and SPLITS modules. Once the initial design was complete Aurora then produced a detail design drawing for the substation earthing system.
