Earthing design PV farms – Aurora has just been appointed by Cenin Renewables to undertake two earthing studies for some new solar farms that they are developing.

One of the PV farms will be connected at 33kV and is rated at 6MW, and the other is for a smaller 11kV connected, 3MW array.

Earthing design for PV farms is always interesting as there needs to be careful coordination between the HV and LV power systems and the PV array DC power system and the PV frame earthing.  These should be interesting jobs, are we look forward to working with Cenin!
