Aurora was contracted by Hydropol to carry out a detailed earthing design for a new 33kV hydro power station in Wales.

Auroras initial scope was to carry out a soil resistivity survey, to assess the site ground conditions, and develop the overall earthing strategy, before undertaking a detailed assessment using the CDEGS design package considering, both local and transferred faults from the WPD substation. Once the initial design and study had been carried out, Aurora then produced a number of detailed earthing layout drawings.
