Branston Solar PV Array

Aurora was contracted by Ethical Power Connections, to carry out a series of HV design activities and a series of power system studies to support development of a new 132kV, 40MW solar PV array located in the UK.

Aurora were responsible for carrying out the power system study activities for the site, which included carrying out an IEC 60909 short circuit study, a Loadflow Analysis, P28 Voltage Disturbance Study, G99 Type C studies and Protection coordination study in DIgSILENT Powerfactory, as well as an Insulation Coordination study in EMTP-ATP. In addition, Aurora was responsible for carrying out the CT/VT sizing calculations, earthing transformer sizing and providing general technical support.
