Aurora was contracted by Barratt Energy to assist in developing a new Solar PV scheme, to an existing WTW facility in the United Utilities area.

Aurora’s scope was to attend site to carry out a soil resistivity survey and then produce an overall earthing design and study for the site to confirm its status as HOT or COLD using the CDEGS design software package.

Once complete Aurora then carried out a protection coordination study for the new Solar PV installation using the ETAP software package, to ensure that the new Solar plant coordinated correctly with the existing protection scheme and no discrimination problems were present.
