Aurora were appointed by Polypipe to carry out an electrical site survey of their production facility in Kent. The aim of the survey was to provide a ‘cold eyes’ review of the site, and gather together the existing piecemeal information into one place.
This was undertaken with the aim of fully identifying the configuration of the electrical plant and its performance characteristics such as system loading, voltage profile, power factor correction equipment and to identify any potential bottlenecks, or potential risks to the system. As part of the scope Aurora prepared a detailed single line diagram of the system, an electrical load list for the site, and a survey review report identifying various areas of concern and highlighting weak points in the system.
