Aurora were appointed by Manor House Horton to coordinate providing a new DNO connection to an existing site that was part of the grounds. The existing site contained a stone yard, with many items of heavy cutting equipment, as well as a proposed development of new light industrial units and more agricultural buildings. Aurora reviewed the configuration of the stone cutting yard, and carefully estimated the new industrial units and farm buildings to come up with an overall power requirement. Aurora then prepared a detailed report for the Client explaining the different options available for power supply and the suitability of overhead line or underground cable, and what provisions should be made for any future potential solar farms that would also be connected.

Aurora then prepared a detailed electrical load schedule for the whole site, indicating the heavy user loads in the Stoneyard. Aurora then liaised directly with the DNO to agree the connection capacity required, and what additional studies would be required prior to energisation of the system.
