Aurora placed a Senior Consultant into KBR’s Leatherhead offices to support them in a range of Oil & Gas projects. Aurora undertook a conceptual study to analyse expansion of an existing plants’ 110kV distribution network and interface to the local utility company. Aurora also investigated reports of various protection mal-operation events due to transient disturbances on the utility companies 110kV network and developed a simple transient stability model to help improve the plant protection settings during grid disturbances.
