Aurora had placed a Senior Consultant into Jacobs offices to support them in a range of Oil & Gas projects. For an existing refinery in the UK, Aurora developed a modification protection design for an 11kV inter-tripping system and validated the operation of the Translay protection scheme following decomissioning of two 11kv current limiting reactors. Following the scheme modification Aurora then undertook a detailed protection coordination study to evaluate new fault levels on an existing plant and proposed new settings to take into account the adjusted fault levels.
