Aurora has placed a Senior Consultant into Jacobs offices to support them in a range of Jacobs Oil and Gas projects.

For a new phosphate mine proposed in Saudi Arabia, Aurora was responsible for developing a full ETAP technical study to determine the fault levels across a 380/132kV power generation system and downstream plant.

As part of the study, Aurora identified that a long 70km, 34.5kV cable circuit would experience an excessive charging current that would have exceeded the proposed switchgear’s capability, and that cascaded tripping of two circuit breakers in series would be required to safely operate the system
