Aurora was appointed by Prestige Power Ltd, to carry out a full arch flash study for a planned upgrade of a private 11kV network for an MOD site.

Aurora’s scope included organising a site survey for the existing protection devices, and equipment; reviewing the proposed SLDs, before creating a model of the whole electrical system in ETAP. Once the ETAP model was created, a number of different study cases were created and an arc flash study was carried out for each scenario to determine the incident energy levels and required PPE.
